Are you an architect?

No, we will not make any plan changes for you. This is strictly a consultation service with the intent to provide an alternate perspective & give feedback to help you move forward.

Additional follow-up sessions may always be booked to review the same floor plan again once revisions have been implemented, if desired.

will you make the plan changes for me?

You may reschedule or cancel your session for a full refund up to 48 hours before your booked date & time. Otherwise, your initial 50% payment of the total booking fee will serve as a non-refundable, non-transferable retainer.

what is your cancellation & rescheduling policy?

Follow-up notes & feedback will be sent to you within 24 hours of our session date & time. Notes & feedback will be delivered via email.

how long will it take to receive notes & feedback after our session?

For this service, 50% of the booking fee is due up front to secure our session date. The other 50% is due by 5 pm CST on the date of our session. Finalized notes & feedback will not be sent until final payment is received.

1:1 Brainstorming / Floor Plan Review Sessions are for design professionals including but not limited to: residential/custom home floor plan designers, draftsmen, interior designers, & architects.

Grey Feather Design Studio currently uses Chief Architect X14 for all floor plan drafting & 3D model creation.

I have some prior experience using SketchUp, Rhino, & AutoCAD, but my primary software for the past several years has been Chief Architect.

what drafting software do you use?

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2016. While in school, I interned for a small scale design firm in Austin, TX. After graduating, I went on to work in the custom home industry for over 4 years. I took on my first solo project in March 2020 and officially took my business full time in December 2021 after becoming a mom & welcoming my son into the world. My current business specializes in residential new construction as well as residential & small commercial remodels.

do you offer refunds?

We require you to provide a working floor plan PDF with dimensions when filling out your pre-session questionnaire. You will also be required to submit up to 3 issues of your choice that you would like to focus on during our time together.

You may also provide additional sketches, photos, or renderings if you'd like. If you are a Chief Architect use, you may also submit a copy of your floor plan file* for us to look at together.

*File version must be X14 or earlier
